Contemplate with performance poet Avaes Mohammad, as he melds original verses and couplets from ancient Sufi poetry with a live electronic underscore provided by Jaydev Mistry.

Speaking with a message as timeless and as needed as ever, Mohammad delivers a form that is influenced by the original works of Shah Latif, Kabir, Guru Nanak and more.

Ancient home to a rich diversity of faiths and culture, the Indo-Pak subcontinent is also home to a uniquely ingrained philosophy of oneness and universal kinship.

Inspired by Qawwali and the verses of South Asia’s mystic poets, I’m pleased to be launching Nuqta – Reflections of a Dot with electronic musician Jaydev Mistry.  Fusing the contemporary with the timeless, this journey has involved creating original English-language poems inspired by these time-honoured works delivered with a searing electronic underscore.

With initial dates in Manchester, Birmingham and London, we would love you to attend and share the start of this journey with us.
